Lehigh Valley Auto Show 2025: A High-Speed Weekend with Sage Karam

Bethlehem, PA – The 2025 Lehigh Valley Auto Show roared into action on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus, setting the stage for an exhilarating NASCAR weekend. The event was highlighted by a special appearance from NASCAR Xfinity Series driver and Lehigh Valley native, Sage Karam.

Sage Karam: From Local Tracks to National Fame

Sage Karam’s journey into racing began in Nazareth, PA, where his father, Jody Karam, served as the personal trainer for racing legend Michael Andretti. This close association provided Sage with unique insights into the racing world from an early age. He recalls, "When I moved to Nazareth, my dad became really good friends with Michael Andretti. Became his fitness trainer."

At just 12 years old, Sage took the wheel of a race car for the first time, marking the beginning of his professional racing career. He reminisces, "The first time I got in a race car was about 12 or 13. So, I can drive these race cars 130, 140, but I can’t drive a street car yet."

By the time he was a senior at Nazareth High School, Sage had already made his mark on the racing circuit, participating in the Indy 500 and finishing ninth. He humorously notes, "Yeah, missed my senior prom to qualify for the Indy 500 and then race the Indy 500. Got ninth, and then a month later, graduated."

NASCAR Weekend at the Auto Show

The Lehigh Valley Auto Show’s NASCAR weekend continued on Saturday, March 22, with a Pit Crew Challenge benefiting the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association (GLVADA) Charity Initiatives. The challenge took place at 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 5 p.m., offering attendees a chance to test their speed and skills in a competitive setting.

Additionally, the Tuner Showcase, presented by Shiftin2Gear, was held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring a display of custom-built and modified vehicles that showcased the creativity and passion of local car enthusiasts.

Community Engagement and Future Events

Sage Karam’s involvement in the Auto Show underscored the event’s commitment to community engagement. He spent time signing autographs, taking photos, and inspiring young racers, emphasizing the importance of giving back to the community that supported his rise in the racing world.

The Lehigh Valley Auto Show is set to continue its NASCAR weekend festivities on Sunday, March 23, with another Pit Crew Challenge at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., providing additional opportunities for fans to participate in the excitement.
